RN Hospice On Call

Summary
The RN – Hospice shall be responsible to systematically collect patient specific data necessary to determine patient plan of care, and to document accurately and promptly. The RN will teach and counsel patients and families regarding care. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Education & Experience
Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 1 year nursing experience. Must have reliable transportation and agency-required liability insurance. Must possess a driver’s license valid in the State of Alabama and an acceptable driving record.
Licensure & Certifications
Active RN licensure required, BLS required, Hospice & Palliative Care certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.
Strong team leadership skills, strong organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.
Must be able to meet strict deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and excellent organizational skills.
Must be able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
Strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, proven track record of successful performance.
Ability to understand complex multifactor situations and bring appropriate solutions.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
Ability to observe, assess, and record work, safety and infection control standards.
