Job Summary
The RRT is responsible for providing respiratory care for all patients in all areas of NMC. Responsibilities include airway management procedures (including but not limited to oxygen therapy, ventilator set up and maintenance, emergency procedures, respiratory therapy treatment modalities), arterial punctures, and EKG procedures to patients in assigned areas. The RRT also provides complete documentation according to the hospital and departmental policies and procedures, reports changes in patient status and/or diagnostic procedure results to physicians and/or appropriate hospital personnel.
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum: Graduate of accredited school of respiratory care
Minimum Experience:
Minimum: Complete clinical rotation
Certification:
Required: NBRC Registry, CPR
Licensure:
Required: Texas Department of Health
Skills:
Routine therapy, ER-ICU critical care, airway management, ventilator care, ABG’s (for all age groups)
Note – Required certifications are to be completed by 3 months of employment.
