Senior Commercial Plumbing Estimator
Location: Matthews NC

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 per annum (based on experience)

About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Commercial Plumbing Estimator to join a growing mechanical contractor. This role is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive bids and supporting preconstruction efforts across a variety of commercial projects. Key Responsibilities

Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to determine scope and cost

Prepare detailed estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors

Develop and submit competitive bid packages within required timelines

Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing

Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers as needed

Track and manage costs throughout the estimating process

Ensure appropriate profit margins are included in all bids

Maintain organized project documentation and bid history

Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and cost efficiency

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial plumbing estimating experience (required)

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Strong understanding of construction costs, materials, and workflows

Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office tools

Solid math and analytical skills

Strong communication and organizational abilities

Knowledge of job site safety standards and construction practices

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience)

Work Environment

Primarily office-based with occasional job site visits

Standard business hours with project-based deadlines

Exposure to active construction environments during site visits

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the day

Occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs)

Ability to navigate job sites (stairs, uneven terrain, etc.)
