Job Purpose And Summary

Within our retail brand, Pharmacy Technicians play a critical role in supporting pharmacy teams to deliver operational and service excellence. A Technician assists the pharmacy team by managing prescriptions safely and accurately, providing exceptional customer service, learning company SOPs, and contributing to a safe and inclusive culture.

Essential Functions

Maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends, and complete required training within designated timeframes.

Utilize state board requirements, including age and education standards, and complete licensure and certification as required.

Follow SOPs and workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, drop‑off) to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.

Demonstrate empathy and genuine care while serving patients at pick‑up, drive‑thru, and over the phone; offer immunizations and related services; and resolve or elevate patient concerns.

Complete inventory activities such as putting away deliveries, cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, and bin inventories as directed by leadership.

Contribute to a high‑performing team by embracing a growth mindset, seeking feedback, expanding clinical knowledge, and maintaining flexibility for scheduling and business needs.

Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and professional standards; adhere to CVS policies for controlled substance dispensing, recordkeeping, patient privacy, and security.

Deliver additional patient health care services, including immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and voluntary staffing of off‑site clinics when permitted.

Complete basic mathematical reasoning tasks such as calculating tablet counts, day’s supply, and bottle quantities.

Perform physical tasks required of the role, including lifting up to 20 lbs, standing for extended periods, reaching overhead, and typing with precision.

Perform any additional duties directed by the Supervisor or Manager.

Required Qualifications

Be at least 16 years of age if state board allows.

Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or an equivalency program if no higher education requirement exists.

Comply with all state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing pharmacy practice.

Preferred Qualifications

1–3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

Experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.

Willingness to work in the home store and at other market locations as needed.

Anticipated Weekly Hours
20 hours per week (part‑time).

Time Type
Part time.

Pay Range
$17.00 – $17.00 per hour. The actual base salary will depend on experience, education, geography, and other factors.
