Phlebotomist Days 4am-12:30pm (Mon-Fridays Rotating Weekend and Holidays)

Phlebotomy involves drawing blood with precision and empathy, ensuring safe and accurate specimen collection.
Responsibilities
Perform venipuncture and skin puncture following standard procedures.
Use handheld devices for specimen collection.
Manage collection list and document status of outstanding collections.
Ensure STAT specimens are delivered to laboratory within 15 minutes of collection or pickup.
Update specimen status to reflect correct collect date/time and receipt date/time, delivering to appropriate lab section immediately.
Report complaints or problems to department supervisor.
Collect data for quality assurance program, maintain thorough documentation, and monitor and clear pending reports.
Demonstrate knowledge of standard phlebotomy techniques and blood processing and handling procedures.
Maintain a safe environment.
Communicate with patients, families, and care team regarding significant events or questions.
Ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, and exceptional patient experience.
Assist colleagues without being asked.
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or 2 years of applicable experience or Phlebotomist certification.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
