
Welder

The Welder is responsible for performing
high‑quality welding and fabrication
of complex components and assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable codes. This role requires strong welding skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with fabrication, inspection, and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Perform
GTAW (TIG)
and
GMAW (MIG)
welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys as required.
Weld components and assemblies in accordance with
engineering drawings, weld symbols, procedures, and specifications .
Set up and operate welding equipment, fixtures, and hand tools safely and efficiently.
Prepare materials through cutting, grinding, fitting, and joint preparation prior to welding.
Perform
visual inspection
of welds to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with required standards.
Work closely with inspectors and quality personnel to address and resolve weld or fit‑up issues.
Maintain accurate documentation related to work performed, materials used, and inspections.
Follow all
safety procedures , quality standards, and shop practices.
Support fabrication, assembly, and rework activities as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of professional welding experience
in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Proficiency with
TIG welding ; MIG welding experience required.
Ability to read and interpret
engineering drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions .
Experience welding to specified procedures and standards.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Capable of lifting materials and standing for extended periods.
On‑site fabrication and manufacturing environment.
Use of PPE and adherence to safety requirements required at all times.
Occasional overtime may be required to meet project schedules.
