
Project Manager Value Analysis

The Project Manager, Value Analysis will provide project management oversight for the value analysis function at client organizations. The role may lead the value analysis process, support Clinical Value Analysis teams, or serve as an overall project manager for associated efforts, all while advancing a framework focused on quality, safety, and appropriate utilization of supplies and services. The manager will actively participate in analytics and presentation development.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibility #1 – 40%: Project Management
Plan value analysis projects and facilitate scope, goals, and deliverables definition.
Identify required resources and participants.
Develop project plans, critical paths, and timelines; communicate these plans to Supply‑Chain Value‑Analysis team members.
Create and maintain savings dashboards and master savings tracker.
Manage work streams related to products in which the client has invested, reducing redundant activities and duplication of effort.
Coordinate education of client supply‑chain staff on value‑analysis project management.
Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, data presentations, and monitor project plans.
Report progress to the Value‑Analysis Director, managers, and team members.
Demonstrate strong communication, customer‑service, organizational, and detail‑oriented skills.
Maintain focus on service excellence and meeting internal and external customer needs.
Responsibility #2 – 40%: Analytics / Presentations
Apply analytical, quantitative, statistical, and comparative skills.
Review clinical spend landscapes, spend advisor, ERP reports, and new‑item reports to identify opportunities.
Revise value‑analysis/supply‑chain processes as necessary.
Coordinate product evaluations and manage item‑add requests.
Identify utilization and waste‑reduction opportunities and support the organization’s cost‑reduction efforts.
Create and standardize presentation materials.
Responsibility #3 – 20%: Value Analysis Clinical Resource Support
Oversee the value‑analysis process within a quality and safety framework, managing appropriate utilization of supplies and services.
Support the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic goals.
Partner with senior leadership (VP Supply Chain, CMO, CFO) to identify key stakeholders and develop multidisciplinary teams.
Provide leadership, education, and support to value‑analysis staff.
Prepare meeting agendas, data presentations, and project plans; engage committee chairpersons and clinicians on contractual negotiations with suppliers.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of applicable experience as a Project Manager in Value‑Analysis or a related field.
High School Diploma or GED (required); Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred.
Management experience required; progressive leadership preferred.
Experience in analyzing healthcare processes to improve patient outcomes.
Formal training in Lean Six Sigma and PMBOK preferred.
Advanced technical skills in MS Office suite and current healthcare supply‑chain information systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Business solutions proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Supply‑Chain Management Principles knowledge.
Strong organizational and communication skills.

Salary range: $90,000 – $150,000 (final salary dependent on market factors).
