Responsibilities
Develop strategies to support, achieve, and exceed Directorate initiatives in the areas of material planning, purchasing, pre-award, post-award, quality assurance, and technical operations.
Provide solutions and develop methods to improve supply support business practices.
Provide acquisition support to authorized activities.
Develop and establish contract quality assurance requirements.
Coordinate and supervise the technical and administrative matters of a division.
Requirements
Must be a U.S. citizen
Tour of Duty: 1st shift; Schedule: M-F, 0600-1430
Security Requirements: Non-Critical Sensitive with Secret Access
Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal.
Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA): Exempt
Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service
Recruitment Incentives: May be authorized
Supervisory Probation: Required
Completion of Supervisory Certification Program: Required
Bargaining Unit Status: No
REAL ID or other acceptable identification documents may be required to access certain federal facilities
Mission Essential employee; may be required to work during an emergency to ensure continuation of essential functions
Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to perform the duties of the position. For GS-14, one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service. Includes maintaining day-to-day operations of a multi-functional team and coordinating operations across material planning, pre-award/post-award contracting, and quality assurance.
Managing day-to-day operations for a team including material planning, quality assurance, contract specialists, and support personnel.
Planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and integrating operations for a team with at least two of the following functions: material planning, pre-award and post-award contracting, and quality assurance.
Setting goals and determining the best approach to resolve budget shortages; applying knowledge of business management and leadership skills to monitor operations.
Strong communication with internal and external program officials.
Experience may include paid and unpaid work, including volunteer service. Education substitutions are not applicable at this grade level.
