Berkshire Meadows
offers multiple services and programs for individuals with complex and significant medical, intellectual and developmental differences. Programs include a 365‑day‑a‑year residential school for students between the ages of 6 and 21, residential and day habilitation programs for adults, and 24/7 nursing and medical services. Berkshire Meadows operates both in community settings and at a beautiful campus with state‑of‑the‑art equipment and therapy animals, as well as a fully accessible indoor pool.
Schedule
Day Shift. In this role, you will be managing staffing schedules in the morning for both our Day Hab and School.
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $22.50 to $33.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.
Due to the nature of our work and the youth who are depending on us, there are times where overtime may be mandated.
Responsibilities
Support and follow all of the Individual Educational Plan goals/objectives as outlined in both classroom and individual student schedules for each student.
Follow specialized treatment plans and behavior programs as developed by the treatment team.
Carry out communication programs utilizing total communication and other communication devices.
Ensure all staff are assigned to and maintain full focus on assigned students throughout the day.
Ensure that programs and schedules throughout the Learning Center are being followed.
Provide all necessary care to individuals in your charge, such as toileting, hygiene, repositioning, changes, etc.
Respond to the changing needs of Berkshire Meadows by assuming new functions appropriate in the position.
Support all efforts to ensure the safety and well‑being of residents, staff and the program.
Assume responsibility for the upkeep of materials and equipment in Day Hab and the Learning Center in general.
Manage scheduling for shift, including reassignment of staff as needed to ensure client safety, in communication with Day Hab Director and Special Education Director.
Adhere to a flexible schedule when necessary and be able to adjust schedule to fulfill job requirements.
Perform all other functions (duties) as assigned to meet the changing needs of the overall program.

Requirements
Must be at least 21 years old.
2+ years experience with special needs population required.
At least 3 years experience as a supervisor with experience with multi‑site staffing.
Experience in providing physical interventions and verbal de‑escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our youth.
Valid driver’s license.
Background and driving record checks will be performed.
