Position Summary
First Resources Corp. of Ottumwa is growing and is seeking a

dedicated and energetic Adult Day Habilitation Services Supervisor . This position is responsible for supervising, training, and supporting staff in providing quality Adult Day Services. The Supervisor oversees day‑to‑day program operations while ensuring services are delivered in accordance with Person‑Centered Service Plans (PCSPs), state regulations, and agency standards. This role also serves as a liaison with guardians, families, volunteers, and community partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Staff Supervision & Training

Supervise, train, coach, and support staff to effectively teach individuals with disabilities skills related to community inclusion and daily living.

Utilize the agency's coaching tool consistently to promote staff growth and development.

Supervise, evaluate, and support staff performance; collaborate with supervisor regarding disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans.

Develop monthly staff schedules, ensuring appropriate staff‑to‑client ratios.

Fill vacant shifts in a fiscally responsible manner, including working shifts as needed to minimize overtime.

Work closely with HR and supervisor to identify staffing needs, post vacancies, and hire qualified staff.

Program Oversight & Service Delivery

Oversee daily operations of Adult Day Care and Adult Day Habilitation programs.

Supervise and assist individuals with disabilities in scheduling productive days that include social interaction, community integration, and volunteer activities.

Generate monthly activity calendars ensuring variety and appropriateness for different populations.

Provide direct support to individuals as needed, including personal cares and coverage during staffing shortages.

Report program operations and updates to supervisor at least weekly.

Documentation, Compliance & Billing

Generate and monitor Medication Administration Records (MARs); report medication passes and perform random documentation audits.

Facilitate quarterly nursing assessments for individuals receiving Adult Day Services.

Ensure accurate and timely documentation of PCSP goals and progress.

Generate detailed reports of individual needs, progress, and changes for supervisory review.

Ensure all documentation in Vision Works (EHR) accurately reflects services provided and matches payroll time records prior to approval.

Run weekly pre‑bill reports and resolve errors through staff coaching and collaboration with accounting.

Conduct regular petty cash audits at assigned sites.

Ensure all documentation requirements are completed timely and in compliance with HCBS and DIA standards.

Communication & Coordination

Act as liaison with parents, guardians, volunteers, and other external contacts.

Maintain proactive communication with internal and external partners to prevent service interruptions.

Ensure only non‑aversive behavior management techniques are used and report any suspected rights violations.

Safety & Professional Standards

Participate in the organization's safety program, including emergency evacuation and disaster procedures.

Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and effective working relationships.

Travel up to 25% of the time; work occasional evenings or weekends for meetings or events.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements
Education & Experience

Associate's Degree in Human Services or a related field preferred.

Minimum of two (2) years' experience with knowledge of HCBS programs and DIA requirements specific to Adult Day Services.

Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Skills & Abilities

Basic computer and software proficiency.

Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds without restrictions.

Ability to work effectively with individuals, teams, and families.

Certifications & Training

Successful completion of new hire orientation and required agency trainings.

Completion of medication administration training.

CPR/First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.

Licensing

Valid driver's license with personal auto insurance.

Must be insurable under the company's insurance policy.
