We are looking for an experienced OB Hospitalist to provide exceptional care at a busy hospital in Visalia, CA. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide obstetric care for approximately 4,690 deliveries annually, including managing unassigned patients (around 49 per year) within a pseudo laborist program.
- Cover Level III NICU cases, ensuring high-quality neonatal care.
- Collaborate with local providers for backup during multiple emergencies in OB/GYN call situations.
- Handle emergent gynecological responsibilities as needed.
- Work within a team supported by 24/7 in-house anesthesia coverage and a community backup for emergencies.
- Participate in OBHG involvement with Family Medicine residents rotating through OBED/L&D.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) with valid licensing to practice in California.
- Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- Proven experience managing labor and delivery in a hospital setting.
- Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience in a Level III NICU environment.
- Familiarity with pseudo laborist models or hospitalist programs.
- Experience working with residency programs or teaching hospitals.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency program.
- Minimum of 2+ years of relevant clinical experience in obstetrics and gynecology.
Other Requirements:
- Valid California medical license, DEA, and BLS/ACLS certifications.
- Ability to adapt to the hospital s specific protocols and workflows.
- Willingness to start on December 31, 2025.
- No outpatient responsibilities; focus solely on inpatient obstetric care.
