Responsibilities
Devise and communicate company expectations to internal and external customers relative to assigned areas of responsibility.
Meet statutory obligations within assigned areas of responsibility.
Develop, enhance, and maintain business processes and procedures within assigned areas of responsibility.
Monitor new laws or regulatory requirements related to areas of responsibility.
Develop and implement appropriate measures of internal and external compliance within areas of responsibility.
Maintain relationships with various state insurance departments and other regulatory bureaus/entities related to areas of responsibility.
Become a subject matter expert and assume ownership of assigned areas.
Research and analyze unique requirements resulting from new program managers, new products, or changes in insurance regulations.
Design processes to ensure compliance with new or updated regulatory requirements for the company and its internal and external customers.
Facilitate meetings with internal and external business partners and regulators.
Provide support and guidance to less experienced team members.
Additional Responsibilities
Assist with special or ad hoc projects, as needed.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Qualifications
Maintain a proactive sense of curiosity and take initiative when necessary.
Feel comfortable addressing issues with incomplete instructions or multiple variables.
Identify potential issues and elevate them to management with analysis and a focus on resolution.
Familiarity with the team’s rhythm; adept at applying past situations to solve new problems, as appropriate.

Conduct research of medium complexity with ease.
Self‑check work and review coordinators’ work to assess accuracy and quality.
Proficient in proofreading to ensure completeness and detect omissions.
Assess risk and make decisions with multiple unknowns.
Analyze complex matters, determine a path for resolution, and complete tasks timely.
Prepare and review reports for accuracy before submitting to management and regulators, identifying and resolving issues before delivery.
Begin to assist in risk assessment of business operations and/or processes.
Possess strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent people and interpersonal skills.
Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills.
Work independently with minimal guidance from management.
Adept at researching and analyzing regulations, statutes, and case law across 50 states.
Balance multiple concurrent timelines/tasks and meet deadlines.
Produce accurate, on‑time deliverables and communications.
Effectively collaborate and direct compliance issues to appropriate channels for investigation and resolution.
Maintain a “big picture” perspective and be aware of the impact of change on both internal and external stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and able to balance multiple concurrent tasks/timelines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance preferred.
Knowledge of insurance regulatory compliance preferred.
General knowledge of the insurance industry preferred.
Knowledge of NAIC annual statement lines of business preferred.
