Davies North America is rapidly expanding. We are looking to add Claims Adjusters with Bodily Injury and Municipalities experience to timely and professionally adjust third party General Liability, Auto Liability, Errors and Omissions and Municipalities claims in which a claim exists for bodily injury, personal injury or wrongdoing. We are seeking candidates with the ability to provide excellent customer service, properly analyze and apply coverage, and adjudicate Bodily Injury claims in a professional manner. The ideal adjuster has the ability to work efficiently and effectively with insureds, claimants, attorneys and outside vendors to confirm coverage, determine liability and evaluate damages through timely and diligent claim investigations. We are seeking candidates who hold a valid Florida license with the ability to quickly secure reciprocal licenses in other states, if necessary.
Key Responsibilities

Prefer minimum of 5 years adjuster experience

Holds a valid Florida all lines license
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Have above average computer skills
Team player
Review of new claims assignments within 24 hours of assignment/Completion of the Plan of Action. Contact with the insured/claimant within 24 hours of assignment.
Assign appraisers or coordinate the receipt of estimates of damage according to client guidelines or approval.
Determine if estimates or appraisals are appropriate based upon reported damages and other evidence.
Gather evidence of damages.
Interview or obtain recorded statements from the claimant, the Insured and any witnesses.
Request payment authorization according to client guidelines and Davies policies and procedures.
Follow client guidelines for any claim denial.
Obtain internal investigation reports from the insured (client) when permitted by the client.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Professional and timely communication with the client.
Determine degree of attorney involvement, if any.
Always act with the utmost good faith in handling of the claim from beginning to closure.
Set reminders within the claim system for necessary follow up in an appropriate time frame.
Accurately record any communication, or activity relevant to the claim, in the claim system notes. Follow procedures to image documents sent to you that are relevant to the claim file (including e-mail).
Meet the requirements of Continuing Education as required for licensure as an adjuster.
Maintain a 95% claim closure ratio
