Banquets Set Up Attendant

The Banquet Set-Up Attendant is responsible for the configuration of rooms, prep work and break down for all banquet meals, receptions, breaks, meetings, concerts and special events. A Set-Up Attendant will be familiar with the set up, and general information about upcoming events, per Banquet Event Orders. Team members that serve in this position must have an outgoing, professional, enthusiastic. Customer service oriented nature about them.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and are subject to change at management's discretion:
Provide top quality service to the guest. Greeting guests and ensuring their event is set up to their satisfaction.
Responsible for furniture set-up of buffets, receptions, bars, breaks, concerts and special events; set-up of such, occasional service and tear down in any event area.
Must take all state and federal required classes for Food Handling and Alcohol Certification.
Must possess knowledge of basic foods, alcoholic beverages, service procedures and general event configurations.
Familiarization and compliance of job tasks specific for a Banquets Set-Up Attendant.
Must be able to read and comprehend Banquet Event Orders.
Completes pre-event and post-event duties per Banquet Event Order.
Upkeep of uniform issued, as well as footwear that will have safety soles.
Constant communication with Supervisors.
Practice kitchen safety and food sanitation, as well as observing and obeying all safety rules.
Turn in any lost items to Manager and/ or Supervisor.
Is able to fill in as a server, bartender, cashier, or assist with AV.
Helping in other departments when necessary.
Overtime, Holiday work, rotating work schedule and work schedules other than Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Obedience and respect to your chain of command.
Adheres to all regulatory, departmental and casino policies and procedures, and to the Casino Internal Control Structure.
Maintains a clean and sanitized work area;
Performs other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Must have customer service experience; job related experience a plus. Knowledgeable in Wine, Spirits and presentation of such. Must possess and maintain New Mexico Alcohol Server License. Mescalero Apache Tribal preference/Indian preference applies; Multicultural experience preferred.

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear. Must be able to use hand held communications devices. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The team member must be able to stand for several hours.

The noise level in the work environment is loud. The team member will be exposed to a second-hand smoke-filled environment. The team member may be exposed to biohazardous fluids such as blood and other body fluids. The team member may be exposed to hostile environments with guest. May be subject to high stress environments.
