Forklift Operator, 1st Shift

We are seeking a Forklift Operator. This individual must have good mobility and visual acuity. This person is responsible for operating an industrial truck and maneuvering pallets of products. Inspecting product coming off the line, packing the product, and stacking the product on a pallet. This individual will also be responsible for maintaining a clean workplace and assisting with any sanitizing operations that occur. They are also must ensure the product is labeled correctly, packaged correctly and passes visual quality checks in accordance to the Production and Quality standards of the facility.
Responsibilities
Responsible for operating a forklift to stack and/or retrieve supplies, materials and/or product for production, storage and/or shipping/distribution while following our Good Manufacturing Practices.
Safely operating a forklift to accurately and efficiently move all finished product from production to the warehouse or onto trucks for shipment to customers.
Loads and unloads materials/products onto or from trucks, via forklift, as appropriate.
Loads trucks and secures product in accordance with customers' requirements, to prevent shifting or damaging of product/materials in transit.
Read Shipping Schedule and sales orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain product/materials or containers to be moved, gathered or distributed/and shipped.
Efficiently places product in stock with forklift using proper stock rotation. First in-First out.
Loads and unloads materials/products onto or off of pallets, skids and/or lifting devices
Checking in materials and /or packaging, matching purchase orders and storing in correct location.
Loads products/materials into trucks in such a way to prevent shifting or damaging of product/materials in transit.
Sorts, labels and/or conveys new materials/products to proper storage area.
Performs housekeeping and grounds maintenance in warehouse.
Assess conditions of the vehicle exporting product/ material insuring it falls in quality standards.
Other duties as assigned by Management
Follow all GMP procedures and policies.
Requirements
Must be able to operate a computer and a scanner
Must be able to operate an industrial truck
Must be able to get on & off lift and walk as needed
Must have good organizational skills, time management skills and has ability to pay attention to detail
Must have 1 year forklift experience
Hours
Monday - Friday 8AM - 5:30PM
8-hour shift plus required occasional overtime
Weekend availability required as production needs may demand
Salary
$17.50 /hr.
