We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. This role involves operating a forklift to move, stack, and retrieve supplies, materials, and products for production, storage, and shipping/distribution, all while adhering to our Good Manufacturing Practices.
Responsibilities
Safely operating a forklift to accurately and efficiently move all finished product from production to the warehouse or onto trucks for shipment.
Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies.
Loads and unloads materials/products onto or from trucks, via forklift, as appropriate.
Loads trucks and secures product in accordance with customers’ requirements, to prevent shifting or damaging of product/materials in transit.
Loads and unloads materials/products onto or off of pallets, skids and/or lifting devices.
Loads products/materials into trucks in such a way to prevent shifting or damaging of product/materials in transit.
Sorts, and/or Conveys products/materials from storage sites to designated production area.
Loads and unloads stacked or assembled pallets.
Performs housekeeping.
Assesses conditions of the vehicle daily.
Follow all GMP procedures and policies.
Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.
Requirements
Mechanical aptitude helpful.
Must be able to work and maintain a fast‑paced environment, while sustaining ability to make intelligent decisions.
Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
Contains organizational skills, time management skills and has ability to pay attention to detail.
Must be able to proficiently and safely operate a forklift.
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.
Hours
Full‑time job
Monday‑Friday and occasional Saturdays 6AM – 2:30PM
8‑hour shift plus occasional overtime
Weekend availability
Salary
$15.00 /hr.
