Job Summary
The Fleet Maintenance Manager is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and operational readiness of all company vehicles and equipment. This role requires a hands‑on, solutions‑oriented professional who can perform repairs, troubleshoot issues in the field, and coordinate larger repairs with external vendors to ensure fleet reliability and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues across vehicles, trailers, generators, and event equipment

Perform light‑to‑medium level repairs, including preventive maintenance and component replacement

Identify when issues require escalation and coordinate major repairs with external vendors

Respond to breakdowns and urgent field issues to minimize operational disruption

Maintain operational readiness of fleet vehicles, restroom trailers, ice trailers, generators, and related assets

Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to extend asset life and reduce failures

Conduct routine inspections to proactively identify and resolve issues

Ensure all equipment is safe, compliant, and event‑ready

Support deployment, transportation, setup, and recovery of event‑related assets

Troubleshoot and resolve issues on‑site during events as needed

Ensure equipment is cleaned, serviced, and reset following use

Build and manage relationships with mechanics, repair shops, and service providers

Source vendors, obtain quotes, and coordinate repairs beyond in‑house capabilities

Track repair timelines, costs, and quality of work

Maintain accurate records of maintenance history, repairs, inspections, and asset condition

Monitor asset performance and identify recurring issues or replacement needs

Support inventory tracking and lifecycle planning for fleet assets

Establish and uphold maintenance standards and operational expectations

Identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and cost control

Promote accountability, safety, and quality workmanship across all assets

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in automotive, fleet, or equipment maintenance with strong diagnostic skills

Ability to perform independent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting

Experience with trailers, generators, small engines, or diesel equipment preferred

Comfortable performing hands‑on repairs and coordinating with external vendors

Strong organizational and time management skills

Willingness to travel frequently and work in field environments

Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

Certifications (ASE, diesel, etc.) preferred but not required

Salary
$55,000–$62,000, commensurate with qualifications, certifications, and experience.
