Job Summary
The Manager, Portfolio Operations, is responsible for implementing and operating a unified and standardized enterprise technology demand intake process and SOX‑related control change management. This role ensures that new technology initiatives and changes affecting SOX‑relevant controls are captured, evaluated, and routed through consistent workflows that support transparency, compliance, and portfolio planning. The position partners closely with Technology Portfolio Managers, IT Risk & Compliance, Delivery and Operations teams, Architecture, and Finance to ensure technology demand intake and control change processes operate predictably, consistently, and transparently across the technology portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Operate the enterprise technology demand intake process, ensuring requests are captured, triaged, prioritized, and routed through appropriate evaluation and governance workflows.
Track and coordinate SOX‑related control change management, including intake, documentation, cross‑functional coordination, and audit readiness.
Define, document, and continuously improve demand intake workflows and SOX control change lifecycle.
Configure or administer portfolio and workflow tools used to support intake, tracking, and reporting.
Facilitate coordination across cross‑functional stakeholder teams to ensure requests and control changes move efficiently through the process.
Produce operational reporting on demand pipeline health, intake throughput, and control change activity.
Identify opportunities to streamline intake, governance workflows, and portfolio operational processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Project/Portfolio Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience gained through work in a technology organization.
8+ years of experience working in a technology organization supporting portfolio operations, demand management, PMO functions, governance, or technology planning.
Working knowledge of SOX controls, technology delivery lifecycles, and change governance processes.
Experience operating portfolio or workflow tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Planview, ServiceNow, Clarity, or similar platforms.
Demonstrated ability to design and operationalize intake processes or governance workflows.
Strong stakeholder facilitation and coordination skills across technical and business teams.
Ability to translate governance requirements into practical operational processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting SOX control environments or regulated industries.
Experience administering or configuring workflow tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, ADO).
Familiarity with Agile, hybrid, or product‑based technology delivery lifecycles.
Strong analytical, reporting, and dashboarding capabilities.
