
Senior DevOps Engineer II (Job ID 3020009)

As a Senior DevOps Engineer II, you will lead the evolution of our infrastructure and development processes, with a strong focus on cloud engineering across GCP and AWS, CI/CD, observability, and automation. You will own complex, multi-step technical initiatives with meaningful design and operational risk, and partner across development, security, operations, and infrastructure teams to enable reliable, scalable delivery across the platform.
What You’ll Do:
Design, build, and operate scalable, resilient infrastructure on GCP and AWS
Lead and improve Kubernetes platforms, focusing on automation, reliability, and efficient resource usage
Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Harness) to support safe, reliable deployments
Implement and evolve observability using Dynatrace to improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response
Drive automation and infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform and Ansible
Partner with development teams to improve application performance, scalability, and platform adoption
Contribute to cost optimization, resilience testing (load and chaos testing), and reliability initiatives
Participate in a shared on‑call rotation (approximately once every six weeks; rotation frequency depends on team size)
Mentor peers, help define platform standards, and document best practices
What You’ll Need:
7+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, platform engineering, or a related field
Strong hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) (compute, networking, storage, IAM, managed services)
At least 2–3 years in one cloud and solid experience in the other
Advanced experience with CI/CD platforms, such as Harness, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Jenkins
Solid experience with observability tools, including Dynatrace or equivalent platforms (Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
Proficiency with containerization and Kubernetes (or equivalent orchestration platforms)
Strong experience with infrastructure as code, such as Terraform, OpenTofu, or Pulumi
Scripting and automation skills using languages such as Python, Bash, or Go
Proven experience automating infrastructure and workflows at scale
Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills with attention to detail
Clear communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to align technical direction across teams with competing priorities
Interest in standardization, efficiency, and continuous technical improvement
Skills That Set You Apart:
Experience with internal developer portals or platform‑as‑a‑service solutions (e.g., Backstage, Harness IDP)
Understanding of security best practices in cloud and containerized environments
Relevant certifications, such as:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect
Google Professional Cloud Architect
CKA or CKAD
Experience supporting database‑backed workloads from a platform perspective, such as:
Backup and restore strategies
Safe migration and change practices in CI/CD pipelines
Connectivity and secrets management between Kubernetes/services and managed databases
Observability for the data tier
Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $98,000.00 - $182,000.00 and is based on experience and qualifications.
Certain roles are eligible for annual bonus and may include equity. These awards are allocated based on company and individual performance.
