Construction Manager
GridSource is seeking a
Construction Manager
in the San Antonio, TX area.
Salary: $95-115k depending on experience
Position Overview
The primary function of the Construction Manager is to supervise the field execution of assigned revenue-producing customer projects within one of the company’s market areas: Austin, San Antonio, or Corpus Christi. In most cases, the assigned projects will fall into the following categories:
Aerial – overhead cabling on existing poles
Internal – cabling within buildings and structures
Fiber/Coax Splicing – splicing and activating plant
This is a working position; the Construction Manager is expected to perform all supervisory responsibilities as well as hands‑on work in the field.
What You’ll Have
Minimum of five (5) years of prior experience in telecommunications infrastructure construction
Supervisory experience within a telecommunications infrastructure construction organization
A valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to the company’s insurance carrier
Professional certifications issued by recognized trade or training entities in construction project management (particularly in telecommunications infrastructure), engineering (particularly electrical), or related fields (preferred)
High school diploma or equivalent
Trade school certification or coursework related to telecommunications infrastructure construction, electrical construction, or general construction
What You’ll Do
Supervise field Foremen and crews across assigned areas (Aerial, Underground, Internal, etc.), ensuring efficient, on‑time, and on‑budget project execution
Monitor and drive productivity, work quality, safety, and compliance with company standards, OSHA, NESC, and other regulatory guidelines
Maintain positive customer relationships and uphold a professional company image
Ensure accurate, timely project documentation and reporting, including daily work logs, timesheets, receipts, and as-built drawings
Oversee the proper use, maintenance, and security of company assets, including vehicles, equipment, and materials
Support training and development of field staff; conduct performance reviews and resolve personnel issues fairly
Assist the Director of Construction in resource allocation and scheduling to meet project deadlines and company objectives
Promote a safe work environment, conduct safety meetings, and minimize incidents and injuries on job sites
Enforce adherence to environmental and electrical codes at all job sites
Attend and participate in company, area, and operations meetings as needed
Lead by example—step in to perform field duties when necessary and ensure all activities are conducted ethically, legally, and professionally
