Job Summary & Responsibilities
The Student Support Paraprofessional provides 1‑to‑1, IEP‑related services and directly attends to specified needs of students. Under supervision of certified staff, the paraprofessional observes and monitors assigned students to support learning, ensure safety, prevent injury, and coach them toward established goals that increase academic success and reduce behavioral disruptions. Works collaboratively with assigned teachers, clinicians, and other support staff.
Position Details
This is a part‑time position: 30 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:15 am – 2:15 pm. No benefits are provided.
Qualifications
Previous experience working with children and/or adolescents in an educational or clinical setting preferred.
High school diploma or GED required.
Familiarity with behavior management techniques and procedures.
Effective communication skills.
