Job Description
Works with teachers and the principal to support student learning across multiple settings.
Provides small group instruction, assists in classrooms, supports or leads enrichment areas such as art and maker space, and helps with general classroom and campus needs.
Reinforces skills in reading, math, and other subjects with small groups of students.
Supports classroom teachers with instruction, activities, and student needs.
Instructs students in art, maker space, and other enrichment areas.
Prepares materials for instruction, including making copies and organizing supplies.
Monitors and supports students during transitions and activities.
Provides individual support to students as needed.
Maintains a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment.
Assists with classroom organization and setup.
Supports student behavior expectations and redirection as needed.
Supervises students in various settings (classroom, hallway, cafeteria, playground).
Communicates effectively with teachers and staff.
Maintains confidentiality of student information.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Experience working with elementary-aged students (preferred).
Ability to work well with children and build positive relationships.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Organized, flexible, and willing to support multiple roles.
Experience with small group instruction.
Basic technology skills for classroom support.
Creativity and interest in hand-on learning (art, maker space, projects).
Frequent standing, walking, and movement between classrooms.
May involve assisting with a variety of student needs.
Indoor and occasional outdoor supervision.
Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
High School/Trade School degree preferred.
Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
