
Senior Commercial Project / Bid Manager

Position Overview
The Senior Commercial Project/Bid Manager (CPM) will be responsible for all commercial aspects of a customer contract (“Project”), from the sales phase through the end of the project execution phase. The Senior CPM is fully responsible for financial and commercial management (contract, costs, revenue, and cash flow) throughout the project execution phase. This includes sales controlling, performance measurement, planning, forecasting, reporting, customer negotiations, project team leadership, and risk and opportunity management.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
Set up financial projects, including a WBS structure, and maintain the financial performance plan throughout execution.
Monitor revenue recognition, actual vs. plan, cost to complete, and forecast accuracy while ensuring compliance with Siemens accounting policies and internal controls.
Perform financial planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and risk/opportunity assessments, recommending mitigation actions to protect margins.
Support change management, pricing, and bid processes, including preparing business cases, customer offers, and coordinating approvals per LoA guidelines.
Collaborate with the Project Manager and plant controller to optimize project performance and track facility costs.
Coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely, competitive, and budget‑compliant purchasing.
Lead customer negotiations on pricing and commercial terms, and present bids, risks, and opportunities to management for approval.
Ensure adherence to PM@Siemens standards, commercial regulations, and Siemens Business Conduct Guidelines.
Drive accountability and proactive ownership across teams while fostering cross‑functional collaboration.
Present bid pricing, risks, and opportunities to management to secure required approvals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or, in lieu of a degree, 8+ years of equivalent experience in financial project management of complex projects.
PMI Certification or PM@Siemens C; B is a plus.
7+ years of successful financial project management experience in sophisticated, high‑value ($300M‑$1B) projects.
Ability to travel – 15%.
Excellently demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, and presentation skills, to executives and the global board.
Compensation
$133,212 – $180,336; 15% bonus potential.
