About This Role
Join our veterinary hospital as a
full‑time
Kennel Attendant
and become an essential caregiver for our animal patients and boarders! In this hands‑on role, you’ll provide compassionate, attentive care for pets during their stay with us, ensuring they feel comfortable, safe and loved.
Shifts: Tuesday‑Saturday, 8 hour shifts.
What Success Looks Like
Compassionate Caregiving: Provide attentive, gentle care to each animal, offering comfort through regular walks, playtime and affection while carefully monitoring their wellbeing.
Keen Observation: Watch for changes in behavior or physical condition that might indicate health concerns, promptly reporting any issues to our veterinary team.
Immaculate Environment: Maintain spotlessly clean kennels, cages and hospital areas, creating a sanitary, odor‑free space that promotes animal health and comfort.
Safe Handling: Develop trust with animals of various temperaments, confidently and safely handling them during daily care, medication administration and movement around the facility.
Detailed Record‑Keeping: Accurately document feeding schedules, behaviors and care provided, ensuring our team has complete information about each animal’s stay.
What Makes You a Great Fit
Genuine passion for animal welfare and pet care
Ability to handle animals safely and confidently, even when they’re anxious
Physical stamina for walking dogs, cleaning kennels and lifting supplies
Excellent attention to detail in following care instructions and observing animal behavior
Strong cleaning skills with a commitment to maintaining sanitary conditions
Good communication skills for interacting with team members and occasionally with pet owners
Patience and compassion when working with animals that may be stressed or ill
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and prioritize tasks
Education & Experience
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
At least one year of experience with the responsibilities listed above
Confidence with handling and restraint
Must have great attention to detail
