Overview

Full-Time | Part-Time | PRN. We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide therapeutic services under the direction of a licensed therapist. This role supports residents in achieving functional goals while ensuring care is delivered safely, accurately, and in compliance with regulatory and reimbursement standards. This position is ideal for a licensed Therapy Assistant who values teamwork, documentation accuracy, and quality resident outcomes.
Responsibilities

Provide patient treatments as directed by a licensed Physical Therapist
Carry out treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and care plans
Document treatments, resident progress, and daily charges accurately and timely
Maintain productivity standards as established by the department
Communicate resident progress, concerns, and changes to supervising therapist
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, care conferences, and utilization reviews
Instruct residents, families, and nursing staff on restorative or home programs as directed
Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of therapy areas and equipment
Report equipment issues to appropriate personnel
Participate in facility performance improvement initiatives
Travel or float between facilities as assigned, based on resident needs
Maintain compliance with Medicare, reimbursement, and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
Current state licensure or registration as a PTA
Knowledge of Medicare and reimbursement regulations
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
Dependable, organized, and patient-focused
Physical Requirements

Standing, walking, bending, lifting, and assisting residents throughout the shift
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Exposure to clinical environments and patient care settings
Ability to manage physical and emotional demands of patient care
