Beztak is looking to hire a
Sous Chef
to join our team. The Sous Chef is responsible for preparing and assisting the Executive Chef with kitchen operations. This position also assists with maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Essential Functions
Prepare and cook meals for residents.
Assist the Executive Chef with overseeing daily kitchen operations.
Maintain the highest quality food products and service for our seniors.
Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
Ensure compliance with state, local, and regulatory agencies as they relate to Food Service
Manage the entire kitchen in the Executive Chef’s absence.
The sous chef could be the last line of defense to make sure each piece of food is safe, prepared correctly and tasty.
Operating a company vehicle or personal vehicle (as required) to perform job duties. Candidates must be willing and able to drive for work-related purposes as needed.
Working in a high-pressure environment, interacting with difficult customers/vendors, handling urgent matters, resolving conflicts, having effective interpersonal skills

Qualifications and Education
Associate or bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or an equivalent combination of education and 2-3 years’ experience in food preparation
One to three years of related experience
Current ServSafe Manager Certification
