
Security Mapping Specialist (AutoCAD/GIS)

Overview
The AutoCAD Security & Response Mapping Specialist provides critical spatial support for public safety, emergency response, and high-level event operations across the Campus. This role ensures that law enforcement, emergency management, and operational leadership have access to precise, real-time AutoCAD mapping products during both routine planning and high-stakes national events.
Responsibilities
Emergency Operations Mapping: Develops CAD layouts aligned with federal protocols (e.g., National Incident Management System and Incident Command System) for use in emergency drills, evacuations, and real-time incident response.
Special Event Support: Produces permit-ready layouts for major events (e.g., inaugurations, state funerals, demonstrations), including crowd flow, access control, restricted areas, and security infrastructure placement.
Traffic & Infrastructure Coordination: Designs street closure plans, pedestrian routing, and transit impact maps in collaboration with city, regional, and federal agencies.
Operational Integration: Participates in multi-agency planning meetings, rapidly incorporates feedback, and delivers updated maps with full version control.
Standardization & Governance: Maintains centralized mapping standards and templates, ensuring consistency and security across all campus operations.
Operational Impact: Enhances interagency coordination and shared situational awareness; improves response time and clarity during emergencies or evolving threats; reduces operational risk through spatial accuracy and map integrity; provides visual decision tools used by clients.
