Job Responsibilities
Install and maintain HVAC systems:
HVAC Service Technicians install, maintain, and repair heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, boilers, and heat pumps.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems:
Identify the root cause of issues using diagnostic tools and knowledge of HVAC components to propose solutions.
Repair and replace components:
Replace faulty or worn parts such as motors, compressors, or leaks.
Perform regular maintenance:
Conduct routine maintenance tasks like cleaning ducts, replacing filters, and inspecting parts for wear.
Provide excellent customer service:
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, explaining problems and solutions.
Keep up with industry trends:
Attend training sessions or workshops to stay current with new technologies and regulations.
Maintain accurate records:
Keep detailed logs of all work performed for billing, documentation, and regulatory purposes.
Ensure efficient operation:
Confirm that heating, cooling, and ventilation systems run efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
Technical knowledge:
Strong understanding of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems; capable of diagnosing and repairing problems and performing maintenance.
Electrical and mechanical skills:
Proficient in electrical and mechanical systems that compose HVAC units.
Attention to detail:
Ability to diagnose and repair complex systems accurately.
Problem‑solving skills:
Able to think on the fly and devise creative solutions for unexpected issues.
Communication skills:
Effectively communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors, explaining technical matters clearly and professionally.
Time management skills:
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Physical fitness:
Capable of climbing ladders, lifting heavy equipment, and working in confined spaces.
Safety awareness:
Strong awareness of safety procedures and guidelines for HVAC work.
Continuous learning:
