
CNC/Mill Machinist

Shift/Schedule:
(12 days on 2 days off schedule cycle)
Day: 5am-5pm
Night: 5pm-5am
A CNC/Mill Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machine tools to produce precision metal or plastic parts. They work with equipment such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines to manufacture components according to technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate manual and CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.)
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
Measure and inspect finished parts using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Adjust machine settings to ensure accuracy and quality
Monitor machine performance and make necessary corrections
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment
Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Follow safety procedures and company guidelines
Required Skills & Qualifications
Certification in machining or manufacturing technology
High school diploma or GED (technical training preferred)
3-4 years of CNC/Mill machine operation experience
Experience with machining tools and equipment
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of measurement tools and quality control processes
Basic math and mechanical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with CAD/CAM software
Manufacturing or production facility
Standing for long periods and lifting materials
Exposure to noise, metal shavings, and machine operations
