Responsibilities
Behavioral Health Worker Opportunity - PRN / Per Diem. Midwest Center for Youth and Families offers a full‑time behavioral health worker position with flexible scheduling. The role supports the treatment team, providing therapeutic care for children and adolescents aged 10-18 in a 74‑bed residential facility.
The Behavioral Health Worker is a vital part of the treatment team. This full‑time position (40 hours per week) includes schedules from Sunday to Thursday with a $2/hour premium, and Tuesday to Saturday with a $3/hour premium. Evening, night, and weekend shifts receive a competitive differential. PRN positions require one weekday and one weekend day per biweekly pay period.
Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
Implement elements of treatment plan and identified interventions to provide quality care
Document and communicate client behaviors
Follow clinical and unit programming
Assist with patient groups and activities
Provide DBT skills coaching with patients
Maintain therapeutic boundaries and utilize crisis intervention techniques

Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required; associates degree or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
One year of experience working in a psychiatric setting with patients aged 10-18 years preferred
College students pursuing a degree in behavioral health, psychology, nursing or human services are preferred
