Job Overview
Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical ICU at 34000 Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital, Elkin, NC. Full‑time position, 36 hours per week, primarily nights. Compensation $30.40–$45.60 per hour based on factors such as qualifications, skills, experience, and training.

Work Location & Unit Overview
Medical ICU is an adult 8‑bed unit overseeing care of critically ill patients across a range of comorbidities. Each 2‑patient assignment is staffed by a dedicated nursing station and cardiac telemetry monitoring. The unit emphasizes patient‑ and family‑centered care, supporting not only clinical needs but also emotional and educational support during critical situations.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

Use evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication skills while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience.

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.

Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Active ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.

Schedule & Hours
36 hours per week, primarily nights.
