Betsy Ross Nursing & Rehab Center is a 120‑bed facility offering excellence in rehabilitation and skilled nursing care in a lovely homelike environment that recently underwent a large‑scale renovation, is under new management, and administration. With a focus on rehabilitation and recovery, our skilled team of therapists and healthcare professionals assist residents in achieving optimal health and well‑being. Our mission is to provide high‑quality care to all with respect and compassion through a team approach that focuses on personalized goals. The role of the RN Supervisor is to be responsible for the operation of the nursing department and facility as well as to organize and maintain staffing guidelines to meet resident needs.

Responsibilities

Relief Supervisors work as floor nurses and serve as backups to the RN Supervisor; they may be asked to supervise as needed on their shift.

Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process in the care of designated residents, administers medications & treatments, and documents appropriately on the assigned nursing unit.

RN reports findings of ongoing observations and assessments to the designated Charge Nurse, Nursing Supervisor, and/or Unit Manager.

RN demonstrates knowledge of basic test and lab collection values, delivers direct resident care consistent with policies, procedures, and the Resident Bill of Rights, in combination with demonstrated clinical skills and knowledge.

Identify and respond timely to patient concerns and needs.

Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills necessary to ensure appropriate quality patient care.

Prepare resident assignments considering the patient’s category of needs and personnel competency, monitor and evaluate the flow of activity and delivery of patient care (positioning, bathing, etc.), and assure documentation records (ADLs, meal intake, etc.) are completed for CNAs.

Be punctual and provide proper notification for lateness or absenteeism.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved school of nursing.

Licensed and registered in good standing in New York State as an RN.

Experience with geriatric patients is desirable but not required; new‑grad RNs welcome to apply.

Sincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and disabled.

Possess a spirit of cooperation and enthusiasm to create an atmosphere conducive to rehabilitation and growth.

Knowledge of medical, social, and psychological needs of residents, general nursing theory and practice, and infection prevention principles and methods.

Ability to communicate well verbally with residents, families, and staff.
