Overview
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused individual to serve as a
Confined Space Entry Support Person (Safety Attendant) . This role is critical in maintaining safe working conditions for personnel performing work inside confined spaces such as tanks, vaults, or utility structures.
As a safety attendant, you will remain outside the confined space and act as the primary point of contact, ensuring continuous monitoring, communication, and adherence to safety protocols. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible, supplemental income while contributing to essential safety operations.
Responsibilities
Monitor personnel entering confined spaces at all times
Maintain constant visual and/or verbal communication with workers inside confined spaces
Identify and respond to potential hazards or unsafe conditions
Ensure compliance with OSHA confined space regulations and site-specific safety plans
Prevent unauthorized entry into confined spaces
Initiate emergency response procedures if necessary (training provided)
Complete required safety documentation and logs
Coordinate with site supervisors and safety personnel
Ideal Candidate
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Safety-conscious with strong situational awareness
Able to remain attentive for extended periods
Comfortable working in outdoor and industrial environments
A strong communicator who can follow instructions and protocols
Minimum Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
Ability to remain alert and focused during monitoring activities
Preferred Qualifications (not Required)
Training can be provided for the right candidate.
