Position

Phlebotomist – Part time, Mixed shift with rotating weekends. Located at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa, Idaho. This role leverages your phlebotomy experience and skills to make a difference in patient care.

What You Will Do
Under the general direction of the supervisor, the phlebotomist collects blood samples, verifies patient identification, transports specimens, and performs related clerical and computer functions. You will register specimens, ensure proper collection and labeling, process and distribute specimens for laboratory testing for patients of all ages, and use relevant computer programs for data entry. You will serve as the central communication point for laboratory requests and maintain the quality and quantity of specimens sent to reference laboratories, as well as report results received.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff.

Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers.

Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred.
