Travel Respiratory Therapist

Overview
The Respiratory Therapist provides airway management, administration of nebulized medications, secretion management and application of oxygen therapy within the scope of practice under physician orders. Patient populations consist of adult, pediatric and neonatal patients. The Therapist plans, implements and evaluates effectiveness of therapy with communication to physician and health care team. WakeMed Travel Staffing offers staff roles with flexibility and stability of a position in North Carolina’s Triangle region. Staff have opportunities to work across all locations at WakeMed to provide the highest level of quality care to our patients. (Adult) Basic Life Support Required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Required. (Neonatal/Peds) Basic Life Support Required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required. Neonatal Resuscitation Program Required.
Responsibilities
Provide airway management and therapy according to physician orders.
Administer nebulized medications and manage secretions.
Apply and adjust oxygen therapy as indicated.
Plan, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory therapy and communicate with the physician and health care team.
Collaborate with WakeMed Travel Staffing and health care teams to deliver high-quality patient care in the Triangle region.
