Responsibilities

Deliver respiratory care to residents per physician orders, including assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing monitoring.

Administer oxygen therapy, nebulized medications, chest therapy, airway clearance techniques, and airway equipment as indicated.

Monitor patient responses, document findings, adjust treatment plans within scope of practice, and escalate concerns to the care team.

Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory equipment; ensure proper infection control and equipment sanitation.

Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to support care plans, participate in rounds, and communicate changes in patient status.

Ensure accurate documentation in charting systems and comply with regulatory and facility policies.

Requirements

Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (as required by state regulations).

Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in a travel assignment.

Willingness to commit to a 13-week contract.

Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a patient-first approach in a geriatric setting.

Ability to follow department protocols, safety standards, and infection control practices.
