Role Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients, develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician direction. The therapist delegates and directs discipline‑specific therapy services, designs functional treatment programs to facilitate effective return to community activities, and educates patients, families, coworkers, and the organization’s mission and core values.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
Develop treatment plans and goals aimed at discharging patients within an established length of stay.
Document medical records in a clear, concise, and timely manner, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
Participate in student programs, providing a positive learning environment and appropriate supervision.
Create an individualized professional development plan in collaboration with clinical management.
Adhere to the discipline‑specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
Engage in performance‑improvement initiatives and contribute feedback to maximize outcomes.
Required Experience, Certifications & Licensure
Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
At least 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
Current CPR certification.
Active and applicable state licensure for physical therapy.
Schedule
This is a 5x8 schedule with shifts of 8 hours.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13‑week contract position.
Compensation
Pay structure is based on 12‑hour shifts, 36 hours per week. Tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
