Job Description
The Contracts Manager's role is to provide expertise in contracts, pricing, and budgeting for various Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus, and Government contracts. This generally includes ownership of the contract management process, as well as development of specific standards for bidding and submission, contract negotiations, pricing, contract review, team agreements and document management.
Duties and Responsibilities
Possesses extensive government contracts experience to support existing and new business activities
Researches and analyzes specific requirements, relevant salary data, and established prices to develop pricing and budget workbooks for new bids
Assist in the preparation of the pricing volume for IDIQ proposals
Assembling final proposal documents in Word, Excel and Adobe
Negotiating contract terms and conditions with clients
Preparing flow down clauses for subcontracts
Reviews, develops and negotiates non‑disclosure, teaming, and subcontract agreements while ensuring protection for the company in all partnership arrangements
Responsible for overall contract compliance of assigned tasks in accordance with contract requirements, company policy and procedures, and applicable laws/regulations
Updates contracts and company information in government systems and databases
Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
Minimum Requirements
5 – 10 years contract management experience required
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Must be able to communicate effectively with government and industry contracting personnel
Extensive government and commercial contracts experience to support existing and new business activities. Heavy emphasis on cost proposal preparation, and development of terms and conditions
Possess strong background/understanding of contract management, including bid strategy, proposal preparation, development
egotiation of terms/conditions, and contract change processes
Executes the activities in a fast‑paced environment and effectively communicate at all levels within the company and with industry partners
