
HR & People Operations Lead

iRocket is on a rapid growth trajectory. To support that growth sustainably, we're looking for a passionate HR & People Operations Lead to build and scale HR systems, drive talent initiatives, and foster a high-performance, inclusive culture.
The Role
Lead full-cycle recruitment: sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and retention strategies
Develop people operations policies, handbooks, performance management systems
Administer compensation, benefits, payroll coordination, and HR compliance
Promote employee engagement, training, development, and wellness programs
Oversee HR metrics, reporting, and data-driven decision making
Serve as trusted HR business partner to leadership and teams
Ensure legal compliance and audit readiness (labor laws, OSHA, EEO)
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
5+ years of progressive HR experience (startup or engineering environment preferred)
Hands-on experience with recruiting, performance management, compensation
Strong understanding of HR laws, compliance, and best practices
Experience implementing HR systems (HRIS, ATS)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and confidence in resolving conflictsAbility to work autonomously in a fast-moving, evolving environment
