Job Description
The Talent Sourcing Specialist plays a vital role in connecting top talent with opportunities at Martin-Harris Construction. This position focuses on proactively identifying, engaging, and building relationships with qualified candidates to create strong, diverse talent pipelines for both current and future hiring needs. Working closely with the Staffing team, the Talent Sourcing Specialist helps bring our hiring strategy to life—ensuring candidates experience Martin-Harris’ values, culture, and commitment to excellence from their very first interaction. Responsibilities
Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development
Proactively source candidates for approved and identified staffing needs using job boards, social media, networking, referrals, and industry platforms.
Build, maintain, and nurture talent pipelines for recurring and high-priority roles.
Conduct initial resume review and candidate outreach to assess qualification and interest.
Pipeline Management & ATS Ownership (Candidate-Level)
Own candidate records within the ATS, ensuring accuracy, data integrity, and timely status updates.
Move candidates through the pipeline from initial review through handoff to the Staffing Specialist or Coordinator.
Identify pipeline gaps and proactively adjust sourcing efforts.
Collaboration & Hiring Support
Partner with the Staffing Specialist to align sourcing activity with hiring priorities and workforce plans.
Provide organized, prioritized candidate slates for review.
Support hiring needs during high-volume or peak hiring periods.
Campus Recruiting & External Outreach
Execute campus recruiting initiatives, including candidate sourcing, relationship-building, and event participation.
Represent the company at career fairs, job fairs, and networking events.
Build early-career talent pipelines aligned with future workforce needs.
Market Insights & Sourcing Strategy Support
Monitor labor market trends, competitor activity, and sourcing tools.
Provide market insights and recommendations to the Staffing Specialist.
Assist in sourcing strategy development and improvement.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
Ensure sourcing activities comply with policies, laws, and confidentiality requirements.
Contribute to process improvements related to sourcing efficiency and candidate experience.
Qualifications
2–4 years of experience in talent sourcing, recruitment, or a related talent acquisition role. Experience within construction, engineering, architecture, or skilled trades environments is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred — or equivalent relevant work experience in talent sourcing or recruitment.
Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and sourcing platforms.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and build rapport with candidates and internal hiring partners.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong candidate relationships and talent pipelines over time.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to keep candidate data accurate and up to date.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Familiarity with recruitment marketing, employer branding, and candidate outreach strategies.
