
Shipping Lead

Overview
Shift:
Monday to Friday - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
The Shipping Lead supports the Beverly warehouse by ensuring all orders are picked and shipped accurately and on time. This role leads the warehouse shipping team by organizing daily picking assignments, verifying the shipping schedule, facilitating startup meetings, maintaining 5S standards, and holding team members accountable to daily goals and objectives.
This is an entry-level leadership position ideal for someone who is highly organized, eager to learn, and able to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and update daily processes and L1 boards
Lead daily L1 startup meetings
Assign daily pick tickets to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
Partner with the Receiving Lead to assess daily staffing needs
Collaborate with the Outbound Fulfillment Coordinator to manage the shipping calendar and ensure all outbound orders are planned
Prepare Bills of Lading (BOLs) and packing slips for outbound shipments
Scan and maintain shipping documentation, including Proof of Delivery (PODs)
Evaluate shipping processes and recommend continuous improvements
Identify training gaps and support team development on standard operating procedures
Conduct daily warehouse floor walks to monitor 5S, inventory accuracy, quality, and safety
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in alignment with 5S standards
Coordinate employee break schedules to maintain workflow efficiency
Adjust staffing assignments based on daily volume and operational needs
Hold material handlers accountable to company policies and performance standards
Escalate operational issues and concerns to management as needed
Support cross-training initiatives across roles and departments
Qualifications
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to learn and take direction
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office or similar systems)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
1–2 years of experience in a warehouse or operations environment
Familiarity with SOPs and work instructions
Exposure to Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
