HealthPort is actively seeking a dedicated Part‑Time Residential Crisis Specialist to support our mission of strengthening community mental health. In this role, you will work closely with clients experiencing urgent behavioral health needs and help connect them to the appropriate treatment and support resources. The role facilitates crisis services in a residential setting with overnight and weekend shifts available.
Position Summary
The Crisis Specialist plays a key role in providing immediate response, stabilization, and follow‑up coordination for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. This position helps ensure client safety, supports crisis planning, and maintains a strong network of community partners.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain confidentiality at all times and adhere to HIPAA, CARF standards, and Maryland State Regulations.
Implement Crisis Stabilization Plans in collaboration with the treatment team.
Conduct triage for emergency mental health calls as part of the agency’s on‑call system.
Provide immediate crisis intervention, support, and assessment to individuals in crisis.
Complete all documentation and required reports accurately and on time.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience working with individuals with behavioral health issues.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
Formal training or significant experience with crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and de‑escalation strategies.
