Responsibilities
Assist the principal in compiling and distributing the yearly budget for the general fund and capital orders, and process all building orderings (requisitions, purchase orders, receiving merchandise, billing discrepancies, checks, petty cash, and other financial processes).
Serve as the building’s automated substitute‑calling system administrator—train teachers, assist staff with emergencies, modify system information, maintain a list of requested substitutes, greet substitutes, and ensure proper completion of substitute forms.
Instruct and train building staff on the district telephone system and voicemail, ensuring proper call routing and handling.
Act as the communications link—verbal and written, paper and electronic—between the principal, staff, district office, students, parents, parent organization, and visitors.
Coordinate with Community Education and outside organizations by scheduling before/after‑school building requests and managing all school activities during the school day.
Prepare, compose, process, and distribute written correspondence for the principal.
Greet all students, parents, staff, and visitors, handle questions and requests, and answer phone calls directing callers appropriately.
Collect and process clerical timesheets and absence cards.
Act as the district/business office liaison regarding district benefits such as insurance and the H&A Flex plan.
Schedule
8 hours per day
261 days per year (includes 12 paid holidays)
Start/End Times: 7:45 a.m. – 4:15 p.m.
Start Date: 5/26/2026
Pay Range and Classification
$22.76 – $27.04 per hour (depending on experience)
Position classified as B‑2‑3 in the LEAF contract
