13 weeks , with a schedule of 12‑hour day shifts, 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities
As an L&D Travel Nurse, you will provide comprehensive care and support for women before, during, and after delivery, ensuring both medical and emotional needs are met throughout the birthing process. Duties include:
Assisting physicians with epidurals, pain medications, episiotomies, and cesarean preparation.
Staying with and monitoring patients throughout labor.
Monitoring contractions and teaching breathing techniques.
Checking cervix periodically to monitor progression.
Maintaining a clean and safe delivery environment.
Aiding physicians with drapes, gloves, gowns, and delivery instruments.
Providing immediate care for newborns.
Physical & Other Requirements
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. Able to lift 20 pounds easily and sometimes up to 50 pounds. Able to manage stress in a fast‑paced environment and relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

AWHONN
BLS
NRP
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in acute care
Additional certifications may be required before the assignment.
Travel & Compensation
Job ID #1411591. Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation), with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
