We're looking for Labor and Delivery RNs for an immediate travel nursing opening in Odessa, TX. Successful candidates should have at least 3 years of recent acute care experience. The role involves providing care and support for women before, during and after delivery, ensuring medical and emotional needs are met throughout the birthing process.
Responsibilities
Assist physicians with epidurals, pain medication, episiotomies and preparation for cesarean delivery.
Stay with and monitor patients throughout labor.
Monitor contractions and teach breathing techniques.
Check cervix periodically to monitor progression.
Maintain clean and dry care environment, including cleanup after birthing.
Aid physicians with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, etc.
Provide immediate newborn care.
Physical Requirements
L&D travel nurses must be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty, and lift up to 50 pounds. They must manage a fast‑paced environment and maintain effective stress‑coping skills.

BLS
NRP
STABLE
PALS
2 years of experience
