
Construction Laborer

Position Overview
Construction Laborer is a key member of the Field Operations team, responsible for supporting the execution of daily construction activities across various projects. This role performs a wide range of physical labor tasks to assist tradespeople, maintain site organization, and ensure project timelines are met in a safe and efficient manner.
Primary Responsibilities
Support general site operations including site prep, clean‑up, and material handling.
Load, unload, and distribute construction materials and tools.
Assist with demolition, excavation, trenching, and grading tasks.
Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Assist carpenters, masons, electricians, and other trades as needed.
Mix, pour, and finish concrete or asphalt as directed.
Build and dismantle temporary structures including scaffolding, barriers, and forms.
Maintain a clean and organized job site, free of debris and hazards.
Follow verbal instructions, drawings, or site layout guidelines provided by supervisors.
Comply with all safety standards and use proper PPE at all times.
Required Skills & Abilities
Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and tools.
Experience in concrete work, framing, grading, or trenching preferred.
Ability to read tape measures and perform accurate measurements.
Familiarity with OSHA safety practices and on‑site safety protocols.
Effective communication skills and ability to work well in team environments.
Physically able to lift 50+ lb and perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum 1 year experience in construction labor or related field preferred.
Reliable transportation to job sites required.
Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to work overtime or weekends if needed.
Valid driver’s license is a plus.
Work Environment & Expectations
Outdoor job sites; exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and physical elements.
Must wear appropriate PPE at all times (hard hat, gloves, boots, high‑visibility vest, etc.).
Expected to maintain a respectful, professional attitude with team members and subcontractors.
Adherence to CORE Builders’ safety, conduct, and quality standards is required at all times.
