Overview
National Salvage and Service is looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join the Fleet Division in Bloomington, IN. This role involves working for a sustainable company that focuses on recycling salvaged materials such as railroad ties and utility poles.
Responsibilities
Adhere to all safety policies to maintain a safe work environment
Produce high-quality welds according to specifications
Prepare materials for welding by cutting and grinding to precise measurements
Keep work areas clean, organized, and maintain equipment properly
Monitor equipment performance and request maintenance as needed
Minimize scrap and waste, effectively using supplies
Meet or exceed production level requirements through manual tasks
Qualifications
Self-motivated individual capable of meeting deadlines
Minimum 3 years of experience in Mig and stick welding
Ability to work independently for extended periods
Comfort working in noisy, non-air-conditioned/heated environments
Proficiency in reading measuring tools like tape measures
Experience with torches and plasma cutters for cutting
Proficiency with Mig and stick welding techniques
