
CNC Machinist

The CNC Machinist is responsible for producing rotors to be used in our centrifuge instruments. In this role you will have the opportunity to set up, troubleshoot and analyze the machining process, and run a variety of CNC Mills and Lathes throughout the Machine Shop. This position reports to the Rotors Supervisor and is part of the Machine Shop, located in Indianapolis, IN, and will be an on‑site role.
Responsibilities
Read blueprints and job orders to obtain product specifications, dimensions, and tolerances.
Position and secure work pieces to holding devices, machine tables, chucks, centers, or fixtures.
Set specified tools and depth of cut in accordance with material specifications and tooling guidelines; follow work instructions and set up books.
Qualifications
High School/GED Equivalency and 3+ years of machinist experience in manufacturing.
G&M code experience; familiarity with CNC machines with Fanuc Controls and CMM reports.
Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to develop solutions for parts out of tolerances.
Preferred Experience
Utilizing calipers, bore gauges, pins, micrometers, and various measuring devices.
Knowledge of 5’s and troubleshooting.
Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 35 lb.
