DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Database Analyst, you will provide support to ensure overall continuity in database design and data integrity, adhering to database security and best practices. Work includes ensuring daily operations are successful by implementing efficient and effective databases across multiple centralized and distributed platforms as it relates to supporting the Department's business and functional needs. The open system database platforms are critical to providing necessary services and benefits state-wide. This position completes all assigned projects in a timely and efficient manner, provides off-hours emergency support as needed, and has a solid understanding of operating functions and enterprise processes. You can expect to assist with troubleshooting interfaces, monitoring the database systems, and assist in ensuring the databases meet security and auditing requirements.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, two days per week in office, three days telework. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Applications Developer 1 or Information Technology Generalist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of information technology experience that includes one year in the analysis, design, and maintenance of databases in overall support of database administration or in the analysis and design in overall support of data administration; or
- Two years of information technology experience that includes one year in the analysis, design, and maintenance of databases in overall support of database administration or in the analysis and design in overall support of data administration, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
- A bachelor's degree in any information technology field.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credit.
Other Requirements:
