DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will manage the comprehensive care of consumers by overseeing nursing staff and implementing nursing practices. Your role will be central to ensuring consistent care delivery and supervision, serving as a vital resource for the team while observing and evaluating consumer support services. By working closely with fellow supervisors, you will help foster a supportive team culture and maintain a safe environment for everyone. Additional responsibilities include driving staff development and ensuring strict compliance with organizational policies. Your extensive job knowledge will be essential in making critical decisions that enhance the quality of care and operational excellence within the facility.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM (2nd shift); rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays; with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
    • 2nd shift receives $1.25 per hour shift differential
  • Overtime as operationally necessary
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.


Special Requirements:
  • This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.


Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
